I am guessing because technically I did NOT perform any CAL installation, therefore the RD License Diagnoser keeps complaining no User CAL was installed even though RD License Manager shows an entry of 10 User CAL of Win 2012 "installed".You don't need activation key. The OS WAS rebuilt once because of testing, and I suspect that CAL was cached on the Microsoft Cleanhouse and automatically pushed to my RD license server.
RDS manage task was configure to work base on "per user"ĬAL license was automatically installed when I activate the RD license server. Since everything seems to be fine in the RDP Manager, I assume that the problem comes from the fact that there is 4 times the same license activated in the RDP licensing console. The error message saying that no licensing server is available to give a license. We have executed the command lines and the RDS Session host is properly linked to the RDS licensing server now, but we still cannot connect. Meaning that in RDS Licensing manager I can see this license 4 times. Since it was not working ( error message when trying to remote connect), he activated 4 times. Unfortunatelly the client tried to activate the RDS license with Microsoft over the phone, without executing the command lines. When using a RDS server in a workgroup normally there is some command lines to be executed to link RDS Session Host to the RDS Licensing server. One of our customer is having a Windows 2012 server in a WORKGROUP, he wants to use it as a RDS server.
